GoggleSquad baby and toddler swimming lessons are carefully designed around the latest evidence-based approaches to early years learning and development.

We believe the pool is more than a place to learn to swim — it’s a space where broader learning and growth can flourish. In fact, our lessons help lay the groundwork for some of the most important aspects of early child development.

As a proud Aqua Sensory accredited swim school, we teach in a way that reflects how little ones naturally learn: through gentle discovery, sensory play, and meaningful connection. This approach helps babies and toddlers build confidence, coordination and curiosity in the water and beyond.

Our baby and toddler swimming lessons, held in warm, calm pools across Walton-on-Thames, Cobham, East Molesey and Claygate and are suitable for children from around 8 weeks to 3 years old.

Our parent-and-child classes for babies and toddlers are full of songs, games, and purposeful play that create the foundations for safe, happy and confident swimming and a lifelong love of the water.

Baby and Toddler swimming lessons cost £23 per lesson, with the first trial lesson FREE.

Our Baby and Toddler Swim Programme

As an Aqua Sensory accredited swim school, our programme is shaped by the latest research in early learning and child development.

Play isn’t just something we add into lessons - it’s the way babies and toddlers learn best, so every splash, song, and giggle in our classes is designed to help little swimmers grow in confidence, coordination, and curiosity.

This approach connects movement, play, and sensory discovery to support each child’s whole development - physical, emotional and social.

Our experienced teachers create calm, engaging sessions where children are free to explore, experiment and succeed at their own pace. Whether it’s floating on their backs, blowing bubbles, or playing simple games that teach breath control and balance, every activity is designed to build strong foundations for safe and happy swimming.

Sensory Play: Rocket Fuel for Brains 🚀

Our lessons are full of sensory-based activities because we know they’re like rocket fuel for young children’s developing brains. Every splash, sound, and texture in the water sparks connection and discovery.

Through the Aqua Sensory approach, our teachers use play and gentle sensory experiences to support every stage of development - from balance and coordination to confidence and communication. Sensory play builds body awareness and emotional security, helping children feel calm, curious, and ready to explore.

By learning through touch, movement, and imagination, babies and toddlers gain so much more than early swim skills — they build the foundations for physical literacy, social connection, and lifelong confidence in the water.

Stories, Adventures…and Imagination ✨

We love bringing imagination into the pool! Stories and adventures spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence - helping little swimmers learn without even realising it.

One week we might dive into a story inspired by children’s favourites like The Gruffalo, Paw Patrol, or Octonauts. Another week, we could blast off into space, go shopping in an underwater store, or sail away on a pirate quest. These playful journeys give children a sense of purpose and excitement, keeping lessons engaging while supporting key skills such as balance, breath control, and body awareness.

The Aqua Sensory philosophy encourages us to use imagination as a bridge between play and learning. When children are immersed in story-led discovery, they feel safe, curious, and empowered to try new things - the perfect foundation for confident, capable swimming.
