Nicola Ayers

GoggleSquad Founder

Nicola started swimming regularly from age three and by the time she was 8-years-old she was training every day and competing for Hounslow Swimming Club and Rushmore Royals at weekends.

Although she started out as a club swimmer, Nic was soon outgrown by her peers and her coach suggested she switch to synchronised swimming where she thrived, reaching the pinnacle of sport, representing England from the age of 15. She competed all over Europe as part of the Great Britain synchronised swimming team.

Nic studied Sports Science and Marketing at Brunel University but as the bright lights of London beckoned and she embarked on a career in the media, working in TV and magazines before deciding to return to her swimming roots in 2009 as a swim teacher, alongside her media work.

After starting a family, Nic decided to return to swim teaching full-time, picking up qualifications and experience along the way.

Nic is an ASA Level 2 qualified instructor and has her ASA Level 2 qualification for teaching babies and toddlers.

In 2020, after working for various swim schools in Surrey, Nicola decided it was time to launch her own…and GoggleSquad was born

Sport and fitness are central to Nic’s life. She trains regularly and enjoys taking part in fitness events like the Hyrox fitness competition.

Nic teaches lessons at Cobham Notre Dame, Cobham Feltonfleet, Walton-on-Thames and Claygate. She also teaches several private clients in their own homes.
