Cobham swimming lessons at Feltonfleet School

"I had swimming lessons myself from the age of 3 to 13 and I can honestly say it wasnt nearly as interactive and fun as the lessons from Gogglesquad for our 3 year old twins." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"Excellent four-day course with Adam. He encouraged my six and three year olds to have fun but also to try new things, I wish it could have been for longer. Thanks for a great experience." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Swimming lessons for babies, toddlers & preschoolers

Our baby, toddler and preschool swimming lessons are for children aged from 12 weeks to around four years old.

The early months are important for helping children get a feel for how their bodies move in the water.

The pool can be a daunting place, so they must feel in control at all times and having a parent or carer in the pool with them up to the age of three is essential.

Our classes utilise all types of play to develop the all-important building blocks required for confident and safe swimming.

Play is an important foundational component for early years lessons, encompassing schematic, imaginative, exploratory and constructive play.

School-age learners (aged 4+)

If we could sum up our priority for this age group in a word, it would be ‘technique’. It’s the single most important element of swimming - if you can get a child's technique right, the rest will follow.

We follow the Swim England Learn To Swim Framework to deliver lessons for school-aged children.

Even with swimmers whose technique needs improving, we will back to basics to ensure the fundamentals are in place before putting their stroke back together. We have an in/out of the water approach to teaching which offers a 360 degree view of progress. The instructor needs to be in the water to observe and correct a child ‘in the moment’ and also benefit from the bird’s eye view offered by a poolside vantage point.
